Our beloved Adam Matthew Dayley, 19 of South Jordan, Utah was laid to rest in the merciful arms of the Lord at Sutton Cemetery in Archer, Idaho on April 6, 2020. Adam was born on October 30, 2000 in Upland, California, and grew up in close proximity to his maternal grandparents Roberto and Eva Melara in Southern California. Adam was the first grandchild on his mother's side sharing a birthday with his grandfather Roberto, which resulted in a very close and precious relationship. Adam possessed a keen intellect and extraordinary attention for detail. Moreover, he possessed and exhibited genuine tenderness and charity for the downtrodden and overlooked individual. His love was deep and enveloping, and he was an incredibly kind and patient teacher. Without a doubt, Adam's best friend in this life was his little sister, Belle. The two of them filled the air with life, brilliant smiles, and laughter.
In addition to the enjoyment of spending his early years close to relatives in Southern California, he enjoyed visiting family in Idaho. When he moved to El Dorado Hills, CA for middle school it became one of his favorite places with many dear friends, lots of Oak trees to climb, and close to El Dorado National Forest where he spent many nights camping with his father on scouting events. Adam earned the rank of Eagle in the Boy Scouts, and competed in High School pole vaulting, placing at State on multiple occasions. Some of his hobbies included constructing computers, automated model cars and robots, 3-D printing; and of course, in recent years, modifying and upgrading real cars became a passion.
Adam was a family history indexing champion and loved to perform proxy baptisms and confirmations at the Oquirrh Mountain temple, with his sister locked arm-in-am and tandem step. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Argentina, Buenos Aires North; and bore the most simple, unpretentious, concise, and yet powerful testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Adam was literally the best son any parents could ever want. He was a true credit to his mother's unsurpassed love and nurturing. Adam will be sorely missed, but we know that he will continue to diligently serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and our reunion will be most glorious.
Adam is survived by his parents Matt and Eva Dayley, and his sister Belle Dayley all of South Jordan, Utah. His grandparents Roberto (Eva) Melara of San Bernardino, California, and Kyle (Joyce) Dayley of Rigby Idaho. Also, cherished and never forgotten are his 6 uncles, 7 aunts, and 17 cousins.
