Addie Mae "Star" Hobson

Addie Mae “Star” Hobson, 34, peacefully passed away at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls on June 8, 2023 surrounded by her dear sisters, Jill and Jenny.

Star was born to Donald and Kay Wimer Hobson on June 4, 1989 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Star lived in Montana, Utah, Oregon and Idaho.

She loved to write letters and watching movies, Star had HUNDREDS of movies. Her favorite movie was The Wizard of Oz.

Star was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Reading scriptures before bed was something Star looked forward to every night. If someone said a bad word around her, Star would make that person give her a dollar bill, and she had quite the stash with her at all times.

She also attended Journey’s Adult Center in Rigby, Idaho.

Star’s favorite food was spaghetti and breadsticks, and ketchup.

"Our cute little Star is now forever shining down on us from Heaven."

Funeral services for Star will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Eckersell Funeral Home (101 W Main St. Rigby, ID 83442). A viewing will begin at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
