Afton Miskin, 89, of Terreton, Idaho, passed away at home on January 19, 2007.
She was born July 13, 1917 to G.C. and Frieda Gneiting in Garfield, Idaho. She grew up in Garfield where she attended elementary school. She graduated from Ucon High School.
On September 11, 1935, she married Guy Miskin in the Logan LDS Temple. They lived in Garfield, Tetonia and Coltman before settling in Terreton, Idaho.
They have 9 children, 66 grandchildren, 128 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
Afton was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many positions. She served a two year mission with her husband in the Massachusetts Boston Mission.
Survivors include her husband Guy Miskin, children Dixee (Rolf) Neugebauer, Kent (Shelma) Miskin, Kaylen (Gerrianne) Miskin, Arlon (Linda) Miskin, Chad (Dixie) Miskin, Kyle (Joyce) Miskin and a brother Lloyd (Ellen) Gneiting.
She was preceded in death by a son Zane, daughters Jeneal and Jean, two sisters, Helen and Ruth and two brothers, Paul and Glen.
Funeral services will be January 23, 2007, 11:00 am, at the Terreton LDS Stake Center. The family will visit with friends 9:30 - 10:45 before services at the Stake Center. Burial will be in the West Jefferson Memorial Cemetery.
