Aileen R. Lewis

Aileen R. Lewis, 90, of Lewisville, died Thursday, May 27, 2010, at her home. She was born November 16, 1919, in Grant to Rees Hyrum Rees and Frances Ann Young Rees, and was raised by Warren and Pearl Webster. On October 29, 1940, she married Allen I Lewis in the Logan LDS Temple, together they had 6 children. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as Primary and Jr. Sunday School Chorister for 25 years, as Relief Society President, Blazer Leader, Visiting Teacher, and Spiritual Living Teacher. She also gave of her time in humanitarian service, family history extraction and enjoyed attending the temple. Aileen loved music and singing and participated in the Relief Society Singing Mothers, she was also a member of the Grant Ladies Club and enjoyed crocheting, she especially loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Laurene (David) Gardner, of Pocatello, Marvene (Duffy) Clement, of Grand Terrace, CA, JaLene (Curtis) Thomas, of Lewisville, Helene (Jerry) Foster, of Rigby, sons, Wendel J. (Sharon) Lewis, of Egin, Orlin D. (Julia) Lewis, of Lewisville, 20 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 sisters, 10 brothers, and 1great-grandson. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at the Lewisville 2nd Ward LDS Chapel, with Bishop Tony Nielsen, conducting. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday evening at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main Street, Rigby, and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
