Alan Francis Belnap was born on September 23rd, 1957, and passed away at his home in Roberts, Idaho on December 9th, 2025. 

Alan was born in Rexburg, Idaho, becoming the third and final child for Grant and Helen. He grew up helping his family run the Idaho Falls Cold Storage and later the family farm in Roberts, Idaho. He played football during his time at Idaho Falls High School where he graduated. After graduating he served a mission, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in the Denver Colorado Mission. After returning from his mission he was married in the Idaho Falls Temple to Karen Owens. Together they had four boys. They later divorced. After working on the farm Alan got his CDL and drove truck to every state in the lower 48, making trips to Mexico and Canada seeing the world until he retired. After he retired, he spent his time with his parents and seeing his children and eight grandkids as much as possible. He also loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing as well as journaling in his free time.

Alan is survived by is two brothers Tyrone and Bryant Belnap and his four sons, Scott (Angela) Belnap, Doug (Samantha) Belnap, Blair (Becky) Belnap and Nick Belnap.

He was preceded in death by is parents Grant H. Belnap and Helen Shirley Belnap.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday December 13th, at Eckersell Funeral Home (101 West Main Street, Rigby Idaho) with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. followed by a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. at Wilford Cemetery (2531 E 225 N, St. Anthony, Idaho.)
