Aleta “Sam” Maxine Boyd, 57, of Idaho Falls, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Sam was born March 29, 1952 in Rigby, Idaho a daughter of Maxwell Earl Taylor and Rhoda Casper Taylor. She attended schools in Shelley. On May 1, 1990, she married Charles “Chuck” W. Boyd Jr., in Idaho Falls. She worked at a gas station in Shelley, after moving to Rigby she worked for the Jefferson County Sheriffs Office as a dispatcher for 7 years and for D & L Cleaners in Rigby for 3 years.
She followed the Wiccan Religion, enjoyed camping, being in her flower beds, reading, and being in her home. Sam had a good sense of humor and was known for speaking her mind.
Sam is survived by her Husband, Charles “Chuck” W. Boyd Jr. of Idaho Falls, a daughter, Robin (Kelly) Jackson, of Idaho Falls, sons, Nick (Christi) Clapp, Justin (Tara) Moran, both of Idaho Falls, Eric (Tracy) Boyd, of Denver, CO, Lance (Mandy) Boyd, of Boise, C.J. (Amy) Boyd, of Lebanon, OR, her mother, Rhoda Taylor, of Shelley, a brother Travis Taylor, of Twin Falls, 17 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her Father.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at Grant Central Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
