Alexander Pierce Luff passed away February 12, 2006 at Primary Childrens Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Alex was born in Rexburg, Idaho on December 18, 2004 to Cliff and Courtney Luff. A short time following Alex’s birth it was discovered that he suffered from a rare liver disease called Biliary Atresia. Despite two surgical attempts and various medical procedures and treatments and a tenacious fighting spirit, Alex was unable to overcome the effects of his illness and was called to join a long list of valiant ancestors that have prepared the way for his return. Alex’s family, however, will miss him dearly and remember the sweet spirit and the joy that he brought into our lives.
Alex is survived by his parents, Cliff and Courtney, his Grandparents Kelly and Lynn Luff of Kimberly and Bruce and Colleen Thomas of Raleigh, North Carolina, great-Grandparents Richard Charles and Jacqie Luff of Kimberly, Barbara Westfall of Kimberly and Tom Thomas of Soda Springs, as well as three uncles, three aunts and three cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Rexburg Idaho LDS South Stake Center (845 West 7th South, Rexburg, Idaho) The family will meet friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home.
