Alice Joy Gallup

March 20, 1924 — June 4, 2015

Alice Joy Walker Gallup, age 91, passed away June 4, 2015 from pancreatic cancer. She is with her beloved Irvin. Alice was born March 20, 1924 in Menan, Idaho as the third of ten children to John Lewis and Inez Louisa Walker. She is survived by her four children Douglas (Connie) Gallup, Robert (Wanda) Gallup, Susan (Douglas) Stoddard, and Mary (Joe) Spencer as well as 20 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, her sisters Joyce Strupp and Sondra Costa and her brothers Darrell Walker and Monty Walker. Alice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Irvin. She has been anticipating their reunion for 49 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents and five of her siblings Audrey Walker, John Walker, Marjorie Morgan, Nola Roach, and Larry Walker. Alice will be remembered for the love that she showed to everyone. "I love you" was her favorite saying. She was always a ray of sunshine. She loved her family and was happiest when she was surrounded by them. Alice was an incredible cook. Everyone loved Grandma's cinnamon rolls. Alice was a great seamstress. She supported her family by sewing. She made and mended many clothes and many, many quilts. She loved using up scraps to make something out of nothing. Alice was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved the gospel. She loved going to church. Alice liked to be early to everything especially church. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 6th, at 10:00 am at the Grove Creek 4th Ward Chapel, 942 North 500 East, Pleasant Grove Utah. Friends may call at the LDS Chapel Saturday morning from 9 am to 9:45 am. Interment in Annis Little Butte Cemetery, 3810 Menan Lorenzo Hwy, Rigby, Idaho, at 5:30 pm on Saturday, June 6th.
