Alice Mae Grover

Alice Mae Grover, age 77, of Rigby, died at her home Tuesday, August 30, 2005. Alice was born May 31, 1928, at Moore, Idaho a daughter of Cecil Glen King and Mary Ellen Hayes King. She attended Moore and Rigby, Idaho schools. She married Melvin Grant Grover September 12, 1944 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving as Dance Director in Rigby 2nd Ward, secretary for various church organizations, visiting teacher supervisor for many years, in the family history center in the Rigby 3rd, 8th, and 10th Wards for 20 years, and in the Idaho Falls Temple. She worked in the Rigby Maternity Hospital for many years, was an avid seamstress enjoying quilting, crocheting and embroidery. She farmed with her husband in the Rigby area. Survivors include her children: Delores Jean (Steven) Bennett of LasVegas, Nevada, Marsha (Dave) Sessions of Rigby, Dian G. Orchard of Rigby, Elaine (Joe) Packer of Rigby, Carol Ivy (Rick L.) Frongner of Rigby, Jackie G. (Doug) Cotner of LasVegas, Nevada, Julie G. (Steven L.) Campbell of Idaho Falls, Linda Grover of Rigby, Joy Ellen (Gary) Ray of Gosport, Indiana, Kaylyn (Steve) Munk of Redmond Washington, Bruce K. (Ronda) Grover of Rigby, Stephen R. (Diana) Grover of Rigby; Sisters: LaMona Helphenstine of West Valley, Utah, Ruth Pabst of Rigby, Maurine (Robert) Olsen of Taylorsville, Utah, Mary (Robert) Bolinder of Firth, Ann (Stephen) Thornton of Grant; brother Cecil Glen (Alice) King of Taylorsville, Idaho; 56 grandchildren and 54 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons; Melvin Grant and Delbert Glen Grover, a daugter; Luana Grover, a grandson; Jonas Dave Sessions and a great grandson; Bryant Allen Grover. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. in the Rigby Idaho East Stake Center with Bishop Wayne Call officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Stake Center. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
