Alice Marie Killian, age 99, of Rigby, Idaho died Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at her home in
Rigby.
Alice was born February 22, 1903 at Stephen, Minnesota, the daughter of John Henry Dammann
and Marina Wraa Dammann. She attended schools in Stephen, Minnesota and earned her degree
in education as a teacher at Valley City Normal School inValley City, North Dakota. She taught
at rural schools in Minnesota for three years and then for three years in Idaho at Poplar.
She married Lloyd Killian on March 23, 1929 in Rexburg, Idaho. She farmed with her husband
in Idaho until 1931. They moved to Minnesota for one year and farmed there. They moved to
Ririe, Idaho, Idaho Falls, Idaho, Rigby, Idaho, then to Provo, Utah for a year and then settled on a
farm near Rigby in November of 1950.
She was baptized as a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Congregation in 1940.
She enjoyed gardening, canning, reading and teaching the Bible to people.
She is survived by a daughter Betty Killian of Rigby, Idaho and a son Lloyd Killian Jr. of Rigby,
Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1984. Two daughters; Marjorie Killian and Marie
Ann Killian. Two sisters and four brothers.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 13, 2002 in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s
Witnesses at 1:00 p.m. with Rande Oksendahl presiding. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton
Cemetery at Ririe, Idaho.
