Alona Kaye DaBell, Age 58, of Idaho Falls, died at Beacon Hospital and Rehabilitation in Pocatello, Sunday, August 5, 2007.
Alona was born August 21, 1948 at Rigby, Idaho the youngest daughter of Emmett W. DaBell and Elma Rounds DaBell. She was raised in Lewisville and lived in Nampa, Idaho Falls and Pocatello. She enjoyed her experience at the Grant Opportunity School, and later worked at the Developmental Workshop in Idaho Falls.
Alona was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Singing in church, attending parades, bowling, eating at McDonalds and spending time with family were some of her favorite activities, she also enjoyed competing in The Special Olympics program. Alona loved people and spread sunshine wherever she went.
She is survived by her sister, Sheryn (Boyd) Leavitt, of Idaho Falls, her brothers, Burdette (Patricia) DaBell, of Palisades, and Jerry (Christy) DaBell of Sandy, Utah. Alona was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday August 11, 2007 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, Jerry DaBell, officiating. The family will meet with friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
