Amber Grover Lovell

Amber Grover Lovell, 86, of Ririe, Idaho died at her home on Wednesday, June 15, 2005. She was born on December 25, 1918 in Labelle, Idaho a daughter of Ursel Leroy Grover and Alice Hutchens Grover. She attended schools in Rigby and Mud Springs, graduating from Ririe High school and also Ricks College. Amber worked on the farm for her father while growing up. Amber married George Lloyd Lovell on April 3, 1942 in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple. After she married she and George farmed in Ririe. She taught in the Elementary grades in LaBelle, Ririe, and Shelton Schools. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions in Primary, Mutual and Relief Society, and she belonged to the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She served with her husband for three years in the Texas Dallas Mission and for two years in the Idaho Pocatello Mission. Amber enjoyed gardening, bowling, painting, and singing with the ward choir and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband George L. Lovell of Ririe, two daughters Deon (Winston) Larsen of Rexburg, LaRae (Clyde) Cook of Ririe, six sons, Robert (Brenda) Lovell of Orem, Utah, Gary (Carolee) Lovell of Rexburg, Kreed (Carolyn) Lovell of Henderson, Nevada, Lynn (Blynne) Lovell of Higley, Arizona, Ron (Tammy) Lovell of Ririe, and Theron (Kim) Lovell of Henderson, Nevada. Six sisters, Ruth (Oren) Hudson of Anchorage, Alaska, Zola (Wilson) Rhone of Boise, Merle (Chase) Driggs of Idaho Falls, Donna Kirby (Max) Storer of Iona, Martha (Victor) Lee of Milo, and Bonnie (Harlow) Anderson of North Las Vegas, Nevada. Five brothers, Blaine (Mary) Grover of Dubois, Jerry (Kay) Grover of Spanish Fork, Utah, Reo (Helen) Grover of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Arlo (Karen) Grover of Ririe, and Jack (Roberta) Grover of Shelley. 48 grandchildren and 57 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 20, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ririe Stake Center with Bishop Robert Johnson officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Ririe Stake Center and prior to the services from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow the services at the Ririe–Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
