Andrew Levi John, 90, of Idaho Falls, Idaho passed away Friday, May 24, 2024. He was born May 22, 1934 in Logan, Utah, the son of Lawrence Sylvester John and Liona Anderson John. He attended school in Logan. After the death of his father, Levi's Mother married George Bright of Lewiston, Utah, where he grew up. He attended the American Fork Training School until he was 21 yrs old, from 1949 to 1955. Levi spent his time working for farmers in Lewiston. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In Lewiston, he enjoyed fulfilling a service mission to help remodel the Church there. Levi also helped build the new Lewiston Post Office. Later, Levi moved to Idaho Falls where he married his first wife Dorothy Vest. After her death, Levi dated Velma Faye Stacey, eventually marrying her on March 14, 2006, in Chubbuck, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized the following year in the Salt Lake City Temple on May 24, 2007. Faye preceded him in death on May 20, 2011. Levi is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, James Bright, and sister-in-law Marsha Bright.

Levi is survived by his step-daughters, Kristinea Michelle Baker (Scott) Chubbuck, Idaho, Velma Rosezelle Nebeker, Idaho Falls, Idaho, Delores Faye Dodds, Idaho Falls, Idaho, Shirley Kaye Jones, Shelton, Washington, and their families; his brothers Dale Bright (Leeanna) Lewiston, Utah and Leon Bright, Moses Lake, Washington; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Levi enjoyed fishing and watching WWF Wrestling. He was very outgoing and made friends wherever he went. He enjoyed ringing the Salvation Army Bells for 5 Christmas seasons in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Everyone knew him at Cedric's Family Restaurant, where he worked for many years. He loved to work.

At the time of his death, he was living at the Teton Post Acute Care Center, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Thanks to all the staff there and at the hospital for caring for him. He will be missed.

A funeral will be held for Levi on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Eckersell Funeral Home (101 W. Main Street, Rigby, ID 83442) at 11:00 am. The family will meet with friends prior to the service at Eckersell Funeral Home from 10:00 to 10:45 am. Interment will be in the Sutton Cemetery.
