Angela Kay Stas, 54, of Rigby, Idaho passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
Angela was born June 10, 1966 in Gregory, South Dakota, the daughter of Marvin “Shorty” Christensen and Janice Shaffer Christensen. She grew up and attended schools in South Dakota, graduating from Gregory High School in 1984. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Black Hill State University.
Angela married Kip Louis Stas in Dixon, South Dakota on June 29, 1985. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Rigby, Idaho and a member of the Midnight Muscle Car Club. She was active for 10 years with the Relay for Life. She taught elementary school in Ririe, Idaho for 23 years.
Angela is survived by her husband, Kip Stas of Rigby, Idaho. Her parents, Marvin and Janice Christensen of Iona, South Dakota. A sister, Tammi (George Troy) Onigket of Casper, Wyoming, and a brother, Chad (Audrey) Christensen of Pierre, South Dakota.
A memorial Service will be held in Angela’s honor at the Presbyterian Church (111 West 1 st North) in Rigby, Idaho on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 5:00 PM. A service in South Dakota will be announced at a later date.
