Annalee Ellen Baker Greenfield

Annalee was born September 13, 1939 to John Lee Baker and Anna Laura Ellen Steele Baker, the younger sister to her brother Johnny. They resided in Oregon until her parents divorced. They then moved to the Bitterroot Valley, where Annalee ’ s mother married John Peterson, who was a wonderful, loving father to Annalee and grandfather to her children.
Annalee graduated from Hamilton High School in 1957. She furthered her education at Kinman Business College in Spokane Washington, and pledged to Pi Rho Zeta International Business Society. After returning to Hamilton, she became a member of the Hamilton Rainbow Assembly.
On May 24, 1958, Annalee married James “Jim” Black, who farmed in Corvallis. They welcomed two boys to their family - Kirk in August of 1959 and Alan in August of 1961. Annalee and Jim separated in 1974 and divorced in 1979.
Annalee married Delbert Greenfield in June of 1979 and expanded her family with Del’s 3 children David, Donald, and Joan Greenfield.
During the 1970's, Annalee attended nursing school in Missoula, and after graduation was hired at the hospital in Hamilton, where she progressed to LPN before retiring.
Her love of serving people continued along with Del as members of the local Eagles club.
They visited several Eagles lodges in Canada, Idaho, and Montana. Even one in Hawaii! They helped raise funds for countless charities and worthy causes.
After Del passed away, she continued serving and helping those around her. She loved people. She loved living in Hamilton and the friendships she had there. In August of 2018, Kirk, who had been her caregiver, passed away and she was no longer able to care for herself, due to Alzheimer's. She was then moved to the Wildflower of Rigby Assisted Living and Memory Care facility in Rigby, Idaho where she could be near her son, Alan.
On August 29, Annalee passed away due to the effects of Alzheimer's aggravated by an illness which included a fever.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Del, her son Kirk, and one grandson.
She is survived by her kids: Alan (Becki) Black of Monteview, ID, David (Jennifer) Greenfield of Chandler, AZ, Don (Wendy) Greenfield of Corvallis, MT, and Joan (Todd) Vick of Omaha, NE, 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and her brother, Johnny Baker.
A graveside ceremony and interment will be held on Thursday Sept. 2nd at 3 :30 p.m. at the West Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in Terreton, Idaho.
