Anne V Summers

Anne V. Price-Summers, 76 of Rigby, passed away on October 4, 2023 at Sage Grove Assisted Living in Rigby, under the care of Aspen Hospice.

Anne was born on February 13th, 1947 in Rigby ID to Russel Roosevelt Price and Effie Lavern Brown. She attended schools in Rigby. On October 29, 1962, she married Dale Ray Summers in Dillon, Montana. To this union, they added three daughters and 1 son.

Early in her adult life, Anne spent her time as a wife and mother, In 1974, her and Dale bought their first semi and enjoyed many years together as long haul truck drivers across the United States. In 2000, she completed the Master Gardener program through the American Horticultural Society and used her expertise to volunteer in the community as well as growing her own beautiful flower garden at home. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and when she couldn’t, she would leave care packages with their favorite snacks on their porch to show them her love. Her hobbies included walks with her dogs around Rigby Lake and shopping.

Anne is preceded in death by her husband, Dale; daughter Barbara; her parents Russel and Effie; three sisters and five brothers.

Anne is survived by her son, Barry (Nilda) Summers of Alaska, two daughters Kathy Howe of Rigby and Karen (Dave) Reading of California; Siblings John (Deana) Price of Rigby and Joy Ockerman of Idaho Falls; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Graveside memorial services will be held on Saturday October 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Milo Cemetery.
