Annette (Annie) Colvin, 67 was called home July 20, 2022, in Idaho Falls Idaho. Annie was born on September 28, 1954 to Paul and Anna Stenka. Annie was born in Howard County, Nebraska at home on her Uncle Victor and Aunt Mary Kosmicki’s Sandhill farm.
She attended schools in West Lawn, Blessed Sacrament, Central Catholic and Senior High in Nebraska. She received her GED at age 19 then attended trucking school in 1989-1990. Annie lived in many places, Ord, NE, Grand Island, NE, Pine Bluffs, WY, and settled in Rigby Idaho in 2002.
On July 3, 1971 Annie married Clifton Peterson. To this union were born 2 children, Blu and Terri. They were later divorced. On March 11, 2000 Annie married Dennis Colvin.
Annie was a truck driver for G.I. Express and Sunrise Express, manager at Dillard’s Department Store in Grand Island, NE. Annie worked various jobs in customer service. In 2002, she moved to Idaho Falls, ID where she continued her employment at Dillard’s Department Store. Annie later retired in November 2008.
Annie was a Cub Scout Den Mother for her son Blu and a Girl Scout Brownie leader for her daughter Terri. Annie was in 4-H and loved horses and horse racing, hunting, boating, water skiing, gardening, reading, western movies, shows, and western dancing. Annie attended church at Blessed Sacrament, St. Paul's Lutheran, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she served as a primary teacher, visiting teacher/ministering, and the ward librarian.
Annie is survived by her husband Dennis Colvin and her fur-baby Charlie; her son Blu (Robyn) Peterson of Grand Island NE, daughter Terri Peterson of Sherrills Ford NC; step-children Lynda Rodriguez, of Mobile AL, Melanie (James) Reeder, of Idaho Falls ID, Trish Gonzalez of Idaho Falls ID, D.J. (Dani) Colvin of Idaho Falls ID, Josh (Amber) Colvin of Shelley ID; her siblings Patricia Cahill of Prescott AZ, Barbie Stenka of Grand Island NE, Paulette (Orin) Kent of Grand Island NE, Maren Stenka of Grand Island NE, Lisa Miller of Polk NE, Garren (Michelle) Stenka of Elkhorn NE, Krystal Stenka of Grand Island NE; brother and sister in law’s Gloria Colvin Jensen, Roberta (Dave) Colvin Brown, Jimmy (Barbara) Colvin; 36 Grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Annie is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Annie is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Michael Stenka and Francis Stenka, brother-in-law’s Eddie Paul Cahill and Bob Jensen, a niece and a nephew.
