Annie Olaveson, 87, a resident of the Rigby area died November 5, 2006 at the Life Care Center in Idaho Falls of complications resulting from an automobile accident. Annie was born November 1, 1919 in Annis, Idaho a daughter of Frank and Etta Mabel Drake Strupp. Annie attended school in Annis. Annie married Oscar Darrell “O.D.”Olaveson on June 2, 1935, in Pocatello, Idaho. She lived in Wyoming, California and Idaho. She worked at Idaho Fresh Pak for twenty-five years and Canners Seed in Lewisville. She had worked as a retail clerk in Idaho Falls. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, traveling and those who truly knew her found her to be a very witty individual.
She is survived by her daughter Carol Olaveson of Idaho Falls, a sister Gladys (Rudy) Werman of Tonto Basin, Arizona, and three brothers, Ted (Marj) Strupp of Eugene, Oregon, Glen (Ann) Strupp of Rigby, and Bud (Joyce) Strupp of Rigby.
Annie was preceded in death by her husband O.D. Olaveson and daughter JoAnn.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel on Friday November 10, 2006. The family will visit with friends prior to the services from 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Interment will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
