Arneta Velma Clover, 86, of Rexburg, died Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at her daughter’s home in Shelley, Idaho. She was born July 19, 1923, in Archer, Idaho, to Melvin Hunsaker and Clara Elizabeth Briggs Hunsaker. She attended schools in Archer and Sunnydale, and then attended Madison High School. She married Lionel Ronald Meikle in Archer, their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They later divorced. She married William Herman Clover, they later divorce. She worked for Jack’s Chicken Inn, for the school lunch program in Lyman, was an Avon representative, owned and managed Bills Café, worked for the Walker Café, then in the Ricks College cafeteria, and most recently for Artco in Rexburg until her retirement. Arneta was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers; Mary Savage Wilcox Camp. She enjoyed square dancing, traveling, and traveled to almost every state in the U.S., she loved gardening and growing flowers, was an avid genealogist, and was famous for her homemade candy. She is survived by a daughter, Launa Marie (Randy Allan) Taylor, of Shelley, sons, Ronald Elvin (Beverly) Meikle, of St.Anthony, Lynn Burdette (Judy) Meikle, of Rexburg, Garth Durand (Nancy) Meikle, of Rexburg, Alan Var (Kayleen) Meikle, of Roy, Utah, a sister Cleona Simpson, of Lyman, brothers, Calvin (Dorothy) Hunsaker, of Tenino, Washington, Larry Hunsaker, of Lyman, 19 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a grandson, Ronald Elvin Meikle. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 5, 2009, at the Lyman 1st Ward LDS Chapel, the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday, and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, both at the church. Burial will be In the Archer-Sutton Cemetery, under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
