Arthur Paul Wilson, 84, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025.

Art was born on February 16, 1941, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Henry and Elmina Wilson. He graduated from South Side High School in 1959.

In October of 1965, he married the love of his life, Sherry Cole. He had an unprecedented work ethic, often working multiple jobs at once to support his large family including nine children. He worked at prestigious companies such as ITT Inc., Dana Corporation, Rockwell International, and Idaho National Laboratory.

He moved from Fort Wayne to Idaho Falls, Idaho in 1989 and spent much of his time in Eastern Idaho. He graduated from the University of Idaho in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, and he also had an associate degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for 20 years as a Chemical Coordinator at INL in Arco, Idaho.  He served a service mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints along with his wife in Layton, Utah at the Layton FamilySearch Center.

Art was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed sports such as golf, football and baseball.  He attempted to instill the love of sports in his large brood by dividing them into teams and playing softball in the backyard.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling, and often combined them to go on fishing trips to Alaska and Canada with his family. He was a constant improver and was always building, remodeling, and redecorating every home he ever lived in. He was well known for his ability to talk like Donald Duck and would often do this to entertain his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, nine children, 27 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother Charles, sister Nadine, and granddaughter Koleena.

Services will be held on July 21, 2025, at the LDS Grant Building, 3431 E 100 N, Rigby, ID 83442, at 11 a.m., under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home.  A viewing will be held prior to the funeral service from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment will be at Grant Central Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
