Audra S Koplin

Audra S. Koplin, 87 of Rigby, Idaho passed away at her home, Thursday, November 2, 2017.  Audra was born May 16, 1930 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the daughter of John Joseph Sauer and Nellie K. Staker Sauer.  She attended elementary school in Lewisville, Idaho and graduated from Midway High School.  She continued her education at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah earning a bachelor’s degree in education.  Audra served an 18-month mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to the West Central States Mission.  On June 20, 1956, she married Richard William Koplin in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.  She served a two year mission with her husband for the Rigby Idaho East Stake in the Family History Center.  After graduating Audra taught high school in Richfield, Utah. She returned to Idaho and worked at the AEC Weather Bureau and then at Westinghouse.  After she married, she taught office education at Rigby High School for 25 years.  She served as the Office Education Association Adviser.  She was loved by her many students. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, camping, playing games and cards, and spending time with family and friends.  She especially enjoyed and loved her grandchildren.Audra is survived by: her husband Richard Koplin of Rigby.  Idaho, Her children, Kathy (Bruce) Ottley of Rigby, Idaho, Leslie (Brian) Korth of Paul, Idaho, Merri (Jerry) Baker of Spanish Fork, Utah and daughter- in-law Shannon Koplin of Pocatello, Idaho.  She has thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by: her parents, a son, John Koplin, brothers, Jack K and Ned Sauer, sister, Betty Lou Decker and two great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the LaBelle 3rd Ward LDS Chapel (364 North 4100 East, Rigby, ID).  The family will meet with friends on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel (101 West Main Street, Rigby, ID) from 7 to 8:30 PM and again on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at the church.  Interment will be in the Grant Central Cemetery.
