Audrey Ladelta Croy

Audrey LaDelta Croy, 85, of Idaho Falls, passed away at home Tuesday, December 13, 2016. Audrey was born September 6, 1931, in Idaho Falls. Her parents were Norma LaDelta Robbins and James Peter Frandsen. Many of her favorite childhood memories were growing up on the family ranch in Victor, Idaho. She finished her schooling in Idaho Falls. She married William Ervin Flanagan August 23, 1948 in Victor. To this union were born three children. They were later divorced. While working at LeBaron’s Coffee Shop, she met her future husband, Raymond LeRoy Croy. They were married December 3, 1955. They had two more children. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple August 21, 1993. She worked as a baker and cake decorator for Albertsons for many years retiring in 1992. Audrey was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was very active in the BSA Cub Scouting program and earned the Silver Beaver award. She also graduated from the Wood Badge training program as an Eagle. Audrey loved quilting; she made hundreds of quilts for every baby in her family, in her ward and for many other. She was called to serve as a missionary at the Idaho Falls Humanitarian Center in 2010 and has served faithfully, twice weekly, until her passing. She is survived by her daughters, Wanda (Jim) Owens, of Ada, Michigan, Kathy (Steven) Shearer, of Milo, Idaho, Janice Simmons, of Clarkston, Washington; sons, Jim (Janice) Flanagan, of West Valley, Utah, Rick (Debbie) Flanagan, of Berkeley, California, Robert (JoAnn) Croy of Pleasant Hill, California; 27 grandchildren, and 56 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, James Donald Frandsen, a grand-daughter, Nessie K Shearer, stepsiblings, Rita Weekes, Faye Lauritizen, Burt Hill and Lavar Hill. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Idaho Falls North Stake Center 955 Memorial Drive, Idaho Falls, Idaho. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 pm Thursday, and from 9:30 – 10:45 am prior to services, both at the church. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Humanitarian Center in her name.
