She was born on November 18, 1930 in Rigby Idaho to Cyril Josiah Call Jr. and Mary LaVern Barker Call. Barbara attended schools in Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School. She also received a Business degree in Utah.

Barbara married the love of her life, Robert Howard Brown on October 12, 1951 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Together they raised 3 wonderful children, 2 daughters and a son. They were devoted to their family and each other until he passed in February of 1997. Their reunion in heaven will be a sweet and wonderful one, they have been apart for far too long.

During her life, she worked as a secretary for Tall Clinic, a legal secretary for T. Harold Lee Law Firm, as a business office manager for Bob Brown Chevrolet and for Dr. Roger Tall.
Barbara was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved her church and faithfully served in many callings such as Stake and Ward Young Women’s Organization. Stake and Ward Primary, and various callings in the Relief Society Organization.  She also served many years as a Temple Worker. Barbara loved the temple and enjoyed quietly serving those around her. Barbara was also a member of the Rigby Study Club for many years.

Barbara loved quilting, crocheting, sewing, and making porcelain dolls. She was very talented and loved sharing her talents, especially with her family. She created a quilt for each of her grandchildren, who lovingly call her “Nana.” She liked canning, cooking, and baking and enjoyed hosting family for dinner gatherings. Her delicious food and beautiful table settings were enjoyed by many! She loved a good party with good food.

Barbara was a big game player and loved playing cards while drinking her favorite drink, Diet Pepsi! She loved playing many different games and would play with her family at their cabin in Island Park, Idaho. Skip-Bo and Rumicub were among her favorites and she would play it with anyone who was up to the task! She was very competitive and hard to beat!

Barbara and Robert were huge fans of the Utah Jazz. She knew all the players by name! Stockton and Malone were her favorite players. She attended several games in Utah and never missed a game on TV! Go Jazz!
