Barbara Ellen Maxwell

Barbara Ellen (Graham) Maxwell, 79, of Rigby, ID passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022 at her daughter’s home in Rigby.  She was born November 24, 1943 in Merced, California to William E. (Boone) Graham and Ruby J. Wilson.  She was raised in Medera and Chowchilla, California.

Barbara married Charles R. Maxwell July 15, 1957 in Chowchilla, California. In 1972 she moved with her husband and 3 daughters to Lewisville, Idaho. In 1976 she moved to Rigby.  She was proficient in crocheting, embroidery, and sewing.  She also loved reading and being outside working in her yard.

She was first and foremost a loving mother and grandmother.  She raised her great granddaughter, Kirsten, from age 2. Her daughters and grandchildren were her greatest treasure, she will be greatly missed.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Laura (Greg) Hayes of Lewisville, ID, Catherine Maxwell of Shelley, ID, Rhonda (John) Durrant of Rigby, ID; brother, Ray (Tina) Graham of Reno, NA; 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. She is preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Ronald Maxwell, husband, Charles Maxwell, grandson, Terry Hayes, brothers; Billy, Pat and Ron Graham and 2 sisters; Melba Littleton and Betty Gideon.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery. The family will meet with friends prior to services on Thursday at Eckersell Funeral Home (101 West Main Street, Rigby, ID) from 9:30 to 10:45 AM.
