Barbara "Carol" Rackham

Barbara "Carol" Rackham of Rigby, ID passed away peacefully at Sage Grove Assistant Living on April 27, 2026. Carol was born on January 6, 1946, to Alfred "Fred" J Ritchie and Elma Royola Fox. She grew up in Rigby. Attended school in Rigby, ID.

Carol married Albert Elwood Rackham, and they enjoyed square dancing "Jolly Mixers Square Dance Club" and being members of the Eagles Lodge. They had 5 children. They later divorced.

She later met her life partner Jim Woolsy, they had been together for over 15 years. (He passed away on October 5, 2017)

Carol enjoyed camping, fishing, horse riding and taking care of her grandchildren.

She is survived by 5 children: Brent (Audrey) Rackham of Rigby, ID, David Rackham of Rigby, ID, Danny (Ellie) Rackham of Grant, ID, Terry (Amy) Rackham of Menan and Shanna (Travis) Burgess of Rigby, ID. One sister Patty Ann (Jim) Crouch of Polson, MT. 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one great grandchild.

Graveside services will be held Monday, May 4, 2026, at Ririe Shelton Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Ririe Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
