Beatrice K. Cook, 83, of Rigby, Idaho, peacefully passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022 at her home.

She was born December 21, 1938 to Vernon and Goldie Olsen in Rigby, Idaho. Beatrice attended and graduated from Rigby High School.

Beatrice met and married the love of her life, Lyle R. Cook, August 20, 1958 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Together, they lived in the Rigby/Garfield area and spent a few years in Roy, Utah as well as Paradise, Utah. Beatrice was a homemaker for their 6 sons and found joy in doing such.

Beatrice was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving in numerous callings, especially serving in the Idaho Falls Temple. Some of her hobbies included cooking, sewing, coloring, scrapbooking, singing, and spending time with family.

Beatrice is survived by her sons; Brian L. (Becky) Cook of Menan ID, Gaylen M. (Suzanne) Cook of Florence AZ, Vernon J. (Julie) Cook of Rigby ID, Gary A. (Gina) Cook of Turlock CA, Terry R. (Annette) Cook of Rigby ID, and Corey M. Cook of Rigby ID; brother Ross Olsen of West Valley Utah; sister Annetta Cochran of Bountiful UT; 21 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband Lyle R. Cook; brother Fred Olsen; sisters Iris M. Saxton, Bethleen Olsen, Bazil V. Olsen, Elva Lue Olsen, Jannet Peterson; and her parents, Vernon and Goldie Olsen.

A special thanks to Alyss Morgan and Hands of Hope for their help in making the last few months of Bea’s life more comfortable and allowing mom to stay at home, which was her wish.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 19, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Milo Ward Building (12127 N 75 ^th E Idaho Falls ID 83401). The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., Sunday, December 18, 2022 and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., Monday, prior to services, both at the church.  Interment will follow at the Ucon Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby.
