Beatrice Mary Scholes Freeman, age 86 of Ririe, died Friday, March 21, 2008 at her home.
She was born March 22, 1921 at Rigby, a daughter of Walter Adam Scholes and Gladys Beatrice Alice Keveren Scholes. She attended Rigby schools and graduated from Rigby High School. On October 16, 1941 she married Floyd Edmund Freeman in the Logan LDS Temple. She lived in Rigby, Antelope, Ririe, Idaho Falls and River Heights (Utah).
She was a member of the LDS Church, and served in various callings including Primary President, Boy Scout Leader, and Relief Society Instructor. She was a Charter Member of D.U.P, Golden Grain Camp and served as Captain. She also served as President of Jefferson County D.U.P. She was a Bonneville County Election Registrar for over forty years and an avid crotcheter, making over eight hundred baby booties for relatives and friends.
She is survived by two sons, Kent (Sun-Nam) Freeman of Ozark, Alabama, and Brian (Ann) Freeman of Logan, Utah, two sisters, Virginia (Kenneth) Rasmussen of Idaho Falls, and Marjorie (Ronald) Killian of Shelley, two brothers, Kay (Marjorie) Scholes of Smithfield, Utah and David (Sharon) Scholes of Queens Creek, Arizona, twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Floyd, and a son, George.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2008 at Ririe Stake Center, with Bishop Robert Johnson, Conducting. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., Monday at the Stake Center. Interment will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
