Benjamin Scott Kirkpatrick, age 20 of Rigby died of complications from long term kidney disease at his home in Rigby, April 24, 2007. Benjamin was born September 27, 1986 at Rexburg, a son of Lyle Dean Kirkpatrick and Doreen Eyre Kirkpatrick.
Benjamin grew up and attended schools in Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School in 2005. While attending High School he loved auto mechanics, excelled in the auto program of Vica, and created the “One Love” club. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission to the Washington DC North Mission, returning home in July 2006.
He is survived by his parents, Lyle and Doreen Kirkpatrick, three sisters, Katie Kirkpatrick of Lemon Grove, California, Annie Kirkpatrick of Rigby, Kellie Kirkpatrick of Rigby, three brothers, Daniel Kirkpatrick of Idaho Falls, Matthew Kirkpatrick of Ramona, California, Nicholas Kirkpatrick of Provo, Utah, grandparents Cleo Eyre of Menan, and Thelma Kirkpatrick of Springfield, Oregon.
Services will be Monday, April 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rigby 1st and 4th Ward LDS Chapel, with Bishop Rick Sterzer, officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday, April 29, 2007 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and Monday from 9:30 – 10:45 p.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
