Beth H. Brown, age 81, of Rigby, died at her home from natural causes Saturday, April 29, 2006. Beth was born February 4, 1925 a daughter of Byron and Della Wilde Herbst. She attended schools in Groveland, Blackfoot and Salmon, graduating from Salmon High School. She attended Glen E Clark Business College in Idaho Falls. She married Larry B. Brown, May 9, 1942 in Salmon. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple August 10, 1942. She worked throughout her life as a teacher in the Glen E. Clark Business College in Idaho Falls, as a sales clerk for J.C. Penny in Rigby, as a bookkeeper for Swager and Brown Accounting and Brown and Sauer accounting Reed Drug and Manwaring Cheese and as a Librarian at Kinghorn Elementary. She volunteered at Kinghorn Elementary helping children learn to read, and for 17 years as election Judge. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a teacher, as secretary, stake Relief Society President and as Music Chorister. She loved kids, gardening, being outdoors, camping with her family, crocheting and crossword puzzles. She is survived by two daughters: Susan L. Brown of Blackfoot, Idaho and Sally (Randy) Leavitt of Rigby, two sisters: Zeta (George) Hays of Bouse, Arizona and Leora (Dennis) McKenney of Anaconda, Montana two grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 daughters and 1 sister. Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 3, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. in the Rigby East Stake Center with Bishop Brett Olaveson officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday evening at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Wednesday at the Stake Center from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
