Betty Gail Walker

Betty Gail Clegg Walker, 62, of Rigby, died Monday, May 16, 2011 at Pinebrook Assisted Living Center in Rigby. She was born October 13, 1948, in Rigby to William Everett Clegg and Gail Southwick Clegg, she was raised and attended school in Ucon, graduating from Bonneville High School. On August 2, 1974, she married Darwin Gene Walker in Rigby; their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on July 12, 1984. She worked at Rigby Produce and Webster’s Produce for over thirty years. Betty was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Idaho Community Action Network, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed camping, reading, barbequing, and genealogy. She is survived by sisters, Donna (Steven) Nichols, of Portland, Oregon, Linda Clegg, of Idaho Falls, brother, Francis Clegg, of Idaho Falls, and a step-daughter, Salina Knudson, of Pocatello. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 Thursday, May 19, 2011, at the Milo Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
