Betty Lucille Morris, age 91, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Parkwood Assisted Living in Idaho Falls.
Betty was born June 23, 1923 at Boise, Idaho a daughter to Charles Allen Peebles and Laura Ethel Engelke Peebles. She was raised and attended schools in Boise. When she was 14 years old she taught dance classes in Boise.
On August 26, 1945, she married Robert Eugene Morris in Boise. She worked in the Boise area at Gowan Field base hospital, as a telephone operator, for Frank Donsie Construction in the office, in Rigby at JC Penny, as a waitress at Carsey’s Restaurant, at The Bon in Idaho Falls and taught upholstering at JoAnn Fabrics in Idaho Falls.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women; the church choir was she held several offices. She was also a member of the Jefferson County Bowman club, the Jefferson Museum and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, yard work, crafts and was a great thinker.
She is survived by a sister Beverly Kay Thurman of Boise.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
