James William “Bill” Stewart, 62, of Tetonia, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Eastern Idaho Regional Center in Idaho Falls. Bill was born December 25, 1953 in Driggs, Idaho to Earl William Stewart and Doris May Anderson Stewart. He was raised and attended schools in Tetonia and Driggs. He honorably served in the US Army. On November 11, 1978, he married Patricia McMinn in Ucon, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls, LDS Temple October 16, 2006. Bill worked as a carpenter throughout the Idaho Falls and Teton Valley Areas. Bill was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; he served in many capacities including ordinance worker in the Rexburg LDS Temple and as an addiction/recovery missionary in the Driggs, Idaho Stake. Bill enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing and especially enjoyed family reunions. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Stewart, of Tetonia, daughters, Jamie (Calvin) Hunter, of Coalville, Utah, Joey (Larry) Hansen, of Tetonia, Idaho, Sara (Brooks) Johnson, of Victor, Idaho, Katie (Cory) Wyatt, of West Jordan, Uath, sons, Matthew (Serenity) Stewart, of Brigham City, Utah, Heath (Julie) Stewart, of Sugar City, Idaho, sisters, Cheryl (Kyle) Tonks, of Victor, Idaho, Rowena (Mike) Beard of Shelley, Idaho, brothers, Craig (Sandy) Stewart, of Driggs, Idaho, Stacy (Cheryl) Stewart, of Driggs, Idaho, and 20 and ¾ grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Tetonia, Idaho LDS Chapel, with Bishop Tom Richens, conducting. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tetonia LDS Chapel and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services, both at the church. Burial will be in the Cache Clawson Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
