Blaine Grover

Blaine Grover, 90 of Dubois died Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Madison Memorial Hospital. He was born November 29, 1924 in Rigby, Idaho to Ursel Leroy Grover and Alice Hutchens Grover. He was raised and attended schools in Rigby and Ririe and graduated from Ririe High School. He married Dorothy Rose Weeks, they later divorced. He then married Dona Hadley, they later divorced. On November 30, 1978, he married Mary Holden, in Idaho Falls; they were later sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on November 30, 2014. Blaine farmed and ranched in Ririe, Dubois and Kilgore areas. He also worked for U & I Sugar in Idaho Falls and hauled coal from Utah in the winter. Blaine was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in several capacities including Sunday School President, and High Priest Group Leader. He enjoyed farming, horses, and raising cattle. He also loved snowmobiling and hunting. He is survived by his daughters, Sheila (Jim) Lane, of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, Tarri (David) Leonardson, of Dubois, Idaho Treva (Darrin) May, of Spencer, Idaho, Lisa (D.J.) Jackson, of Seattle, Washington, sons, Rodney (Sharon) Grover, of Willow Creek, California, Randy (Jill) Grover, of Dubois, Idaho, Bryan (Cinde) Grover, of Moreno Valley, California, Brad (DeAnn) Grover, of Salem, Utah, Kelly (Leslie) Grover, of Loveland, Colorado, Kirk (Karen) Grover, of Inkom, Idaho, Mike (Laurie) Holden, of Spencer, Idaho, Evan (Jodi) Grover, of Spanish Fork, Utah, Eric Grover, of Woonsocket, South Dakota, Lane (Rachael) Grover, of Rigby, Idaho, sisters, Zola Rhone, of Boise, Idaho, Donna Kirby, of Idaho Falls, Idaho Bonnie (Harlo) Andersen, of Las Vegas, Nevada, brothers, Jerry (Kay) Grover, of Spanish Fork, Utah, Reo (Helen) Grover of Hattisburg, Mississippi, Arlo (Karen) Grover, of Ririe, Idaho, Jack (Roberta ) Grover, of Shelley, Idaho, 66 grandchildren and 69 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Grover, 4 sisters and 1 brother. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Beaver Creek Ward LDS Chapel, in Dubois. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Dubois Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
