William “Blaine” Morgan, 92, of Menan, died Monday, December 30, 2013, at his home.
He was born November 24, 1921, in LaBelle to William Leonard Morgan and Leona May Eddie Morgan. He attended schools in Ririe and Clark and in the Rigby area. On December 30, 1941, he married Henrietta Hendricks in LaBelle. He was inducted into the US Army in 1942 serving during WWII; he was honorably discharged in 1945.
Blaine worked as an independent truck driver throughout his life; he also worked for various equipment companies. He was very dedicated to his work and taking care of his family.
Blaine enjoyed horses and ponies and loved to take the grandkids for rides in his buggy. He also loved to garden and share his harvest with everyone.
He is survived by his daughters, Karen (Bob) Chapple, of Idaho Falls, Kathy (Roger) Poole, of Menan, Konnie (Mike) Barney, of Menan, Karol (Craig) Drake, of Lewisville; sons, Len (Cathy) Morgan, of Menan, Steve (Koreen) Morgan, of Teton, 22 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister, Ruby Skinner, brothers, Ray Morgan, Dee Morgan, and 1 grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Menan 2nd Ward LDS Chapel, 3547 E. Menan Lorenzo Hwy, Menan. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday and from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services, both at the church.
Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery. Services are under the care of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
