Bobby Clair Schneiter, 78, of Rexburg, passed away at his home Friday, July 20, 2018. Bob was born April 25, 1940 in Archer, Idaho a son to Erven Clair Schneiter and Artella Ann Weekes Schneiter. He attended Archer schools and graduated from Ririe High School. He married Sarah Joyce Streeper February 19, 1959 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He worked for Ricks College and BYU-I for 23 years and farmed and ranched in the Burton area. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he served in the Young Men’s Association, in two Bishoprics, and as an officiator in the Idaho Falls Temple and Rexburg Temple. He also served for 14 years with the Idaho High School Rodeo Association and the Madison County Fair Board. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family.
Survivors include his children: Kerry Sue (Ron) Wilcox of Menan, Pamela Ann (Rex) Ostberg of Chester, Vicky Lyn (Robert) Potts of Salt Lake City, Bret C (Suzanne) Schneiter of Farmington, Utah, Bobette Green of Hurricane, Utah, Jerry B Schneiter of Rigby, Zane (Rashelle) Schneiter of Rexburg and Stasi Lee (Doug) Cox of Moreland, two sisters: Darlene Clements of Sunnydell and Hazel (Ken) Rose of Archer, 34 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joyce, a son Lane a daughter Shelley Ostler, a son-in-law Jeremy Green and two grandsons Caden and Brock Schneiter.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 26
th
at 11:00 a.m. in the Burton LDS Church 3958 West 2000 South Rexburg. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday evening at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Burton Cemetery.
