Bonnie Marie Zollinger, 84, of Roberts died Saturday, November 13, 2010, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
Bonnie was born April 17, 1926, in Natches, Texas a daughter of William and Lillian Randall Morrow. Her early schooling was in Texas. Later in life she attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho graduating in 1969.
She married Dean C. Zollinger in San Antonio, Texas October 11, 1946. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple December 10, 1947.
She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings. She was the 11 year old boys primary teacher for 15 years and ward chorister for many years
She taught school at Roberts Jr. High School for 2 years and worked with her husband in the insurance industry but most of her life was spent as an amazing homemaker. She was an excellent teacher, cook, gardener and seamstress. She was a member of the Roberts Women’s Sewing Group and from this association learned to sew men’s suits and ties and made dresses for all of her granddaughters. She enjoyed reading, camping and feeding everyone that visited her home.
Survivors include her husband Dean Zollinger of Roberts, two daughters, Rosina (Ross) Miller of Spokane, Washington and Marie (Ian) Wright of Roberts, two brothers, Woodrow Wilson (Melbadean) Morrow of Waco, Texas and Dick (Virginia) Morrow of Sanger, Texas, 15 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and 1 great-grandson Dawson Miller.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Roberts 1st ward LDS Chapel. The family will visit with friends on Friday November 19, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and on Saturday for one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Market Lake Cemetery near Roberts.
