Boyd C. Barnes

Boyd C Barnes, age 67, of Island Park, Idaho, died at his home Thursday, August 26, 2010. Boyd was born February 25, 1943 at Rexburg, Idaho a son to Ernest J Barnes and Ruth Fullmer Barnes. He attended Menan, Midway and Rigby High Schools. He served in the United States Army from 1961 until 1964 and then in the active reserves for two years. He Married Carolynn Lowe, October 1, 1991 in Saint Anthony. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator on Road and Building Construction. He enjoyed riding snow machines, fishing on Henry’s Lake and Island Park Reservoir and every summer traveling to Astoria, Oregon to fish. Survivors include: a daughter Terrie Lyn Jeffs of Saint Anthony, a son Reese (Tara) Barnes of Idaho Falls, his father Ernest Barnes of Idaho Falls, three step daughters, Cozette Markowski,Shellie Campbell, and Lorrie French, two sisters Mary Jane (Stacey) Kelsey of Twin Falls, Nita (Dave) Grimalaskus of Rexburg, and a brother Ray (Tina) Barnes of Idaho Falls, 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, his wife, one brother and a sister. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday evening August 31, 2010 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby.
