Brandon Raymond Thompson, 32, of Rigby, departed this life, Wednesday, August 20, 2014. Brandon was born June 22, 1982, the 6th of seven children of Lyle Irven Thompson and Anita Marie Mills Thompson. Brandon attended Rigby Schools graduating from Rigby High School. He continued his education at Ricks College, BYU-Idaho, and Boise State University receiving his Bachelors in Civil Engineering. He was a partner in Thompson Engineering in Rigby. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in the West Indies Mission. Brandon married Melissa DeLone Allen on February 14, 2004, in the Idaho Falls, L.D.S. Temple. Brandon loved being with his children, dirt biking, and playing the guitar. He was very service oriented and a sweet man. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Thompson and their son and two daughters Nathan, McKenna, and Brooklyn, his mother, Anita (Nolan) Furniss, his father Lyle Thompson, three brothers Kevin Thompson, John Thompson, and James Thompson, and three sisters, Heidi Greenwald, Josie Crittenden, and Chera Thompson, as well as his father and mother-in-law Randall and Bonnie Allen, three brothers-in-law, Tyson Allen, Derek Allen, and Rhett Allen, and a sister-in-law Haylie Roper. Funeral services will be held Monday August 25, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Rigby 15th Ward LDS Chapel, 602 Sundance Drive with Bishop Marvin Fielding conducting. The family will visit with friends at the church, Sunday, August 24, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., and on Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
