Breony loved sunny days. It was a sunny evening with a little bit of wind on Monday May 13, 2024, when Breony, age 44, left her earthly home and returned to her heavenly home to join her angel mother.
It was a sunny 75° afternoon with slight breeze at 3:30pm on Sunday, April 27, 1980, in Redmond Washington, when Breony Elizabeth entered this world. She was welcomed with love by her mother Dianne, her father David, and an older brother Taron.
Breony and Taron’s parents divorced and Breony moved to the Salt Lake valley with her mother and brother.
In 1984, Breony’s mother met, dated, and then married Clark Millet, and they made their home in Rigby Idaho. Breony got 4 more instant older stepsiblings when her mom and Clark married. Breony looked up to all the older kids in the house but was especially excited when she got to become an older sister to Jordan and then Kalesa.
Breony was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she attended Primary, Young Women’s, and Relief Society with her church ward. She really loved Girl’s camp. Breony attended schools in the Rigby School district and graduated from Rigby High School.
Breony loved animals, particularly cats, her furry friends brought her much comfort. Light blue was her favorite color and she loved things that sparkle, window crystals that would make a room sparkle with sunlight were some of her favorites. She loved holidays, parties, and any gathering of friends and family. She adored her Aunt Cindy and her family.
Breony had many adventures in life making new friends and traveling to several states, Canada, England, and even Africa.
In January 2017, Breony met Joseph Makubuya while online dating. They got to know each other and began a long-distance relationship, because Breony lived in Idaho and Joseph lived in Lugazi, a little village about 50 miles east of Kampala Uganda. During their dating years, Breony visited Joseph in Uganda multiple times. Joseph was father to three darling children. Joseph and the children arrived in the United States and Breony and Joseph married in Rexburg Idaho in February of 2020. Upon their marriage, Breony became mom to Joselyn, Julie, and Keegan.
Breony suffered the effects of Myotonic Dystrophy her whole life, although her physical abilities were impacted, her mind remained clear, and she was Happy.
Breony often expressed her love and gratitude for dear friends who she felt so much love from, including the Ricks Family from Rexburg.
Breony left her love behind for her husband Joseph Makubuya, the children; Joselyn, Julie, and Keegan Makubuya. She also leaves behind the man she grew up knowing, loving, and calling Dad, Clark Millet. Her adored siblings: Taron (Andrea Packer) Millet, Jordan Millet, and Kalesa (Ed) Schmid and their daughter Eliana. Her Stepsiblings: Christa (Greg) Knudson, Brent (Christy) Millet, Larry (Sarah) Millet, and Shannon Surerus.
When Breony left this life, waiting for her were her mother Dianne Millet (2023), her father David Wilson (1994), and her Grandparents, Ted and Marjorie Halliday as well as Dick and Colleen Wilson.
Graveside services will be held at Rigby Pioneer Cemetery on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 11:00am. The family will meet friends prior to the graveside from 9:30 to 10:45 am at Eckersell Funeral Home (101 W. Main Street, Rigby, ID).
