Bruce Alva Carson

Bruce Alva Carson, 82, from Rigby, Idaho died September 27, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on May 20, 1941 on a cattle work farm in Duchesne County, Utah. Bruce is he second child to Bonnie Westfall and Alva Carson. His family moved to Idaho Falls when he was young, residing in Idaho Falls before moving to Rigby. Bruce attended schools in Jefferson County.

Bruce worked for Dairyland as a plant supervisor for 19 years; as a truck driver for Meadow Gold Dairy for 30 years; and T.R.I.P.T.A for three years. He married Carrolle Newman Green, and later divorced. He married the love of his life, Emily Holden in 1980.

Bruce was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding, firearms and spending time with his family.

Bruce is survived by his wife Emily; Leasa (Brad) Davis of Salmon ID, Tracey Ellen Carson Webb of Oregon; David Carson of Idaho Falls ID, Cathy Walker of Idaho Falls ID, Tim (Yvonne) Walker of Iona ID, Wendy Carson of New Mexico; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brother Terry (Justine) Carson of Blackfoot ID; nephews Nolan Rhodehouse of Menan ID, Kevin Rhodehouse of Rigby ID; nieces Robin (Coldin) Jergins of Idaho Falls ID, Sindy Day (Trent) Christenson of Rexburg ID; plus many other nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Bonnie Carson, a sister, a brother-in-law and two granddaughters.

A graveside memorial service will be held for Bruce on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
