With sincere regret, the family of Bryce Tanner Spaulding announces his unexpected passing at the age of 27. Although his departure came far too soon, those who knew Bryce might appreciate the irony that, for once, he was early. We all expected him to be late.

Bryce was a beloved husband, son, brother, grandson, and friend. Knowing him was one of life’s gifts. He was incredibly intelligent, quick-witted, kind-hearted, and had a sense of humor that could bring laughter to even the hardest moments. From a young age, Bryce had a gentle, sensitive soul and an unmatched love for animals. Alongside that sweetness was a mischievous streak that kept everyone on their toes.

Bryce had a particular affinity for video games and his Honda dirt bike. He loved the excitement of a new adventure, whether it was exploring somewhere new, enjoying live music, or finding another excuse to light something on fire. His adventurous spirit and occasional questionable ideas gave his family plenty of stories to laugh about and memories to treasure.

Bryce was just 17 when he met Reanna, the person who would become his lifelong partner. They grew up together, fell deeply in love, and shared years of adventures before exchanging vows on October 1, 2023, in an intimate ceremony at his great-uncle’s mountain home in beautiful Swan Valley. Together, they built a family of their own with their three beloved Sphynx cats, Teddy, Blu, and Belle; their Nebelung cat, Drac; and their two dogs, Fern and Millie.

Gaming was another special part of their life together. Bryce even custom-built Reanna her own pink and green PC so they could share the hobby. They spent countless late nights chasing Victory Royales in Fortnite, often staying up far past their bedtimes. Reanna will cherish those nights, the laughter, and their little gaming traditions, while missing the Fortnitemares they won’t get to play together, the matching skins they won’t get to collect, and the Sprite collection they’ll never finish.

Bryce shared an extraordinary bond with his older brother, Brayden. Born just 11 months apart, they grew up nearly inseparable, best friends and partners in crime from the beginning. Through childhood adventures, mischief, and life’s challenges, their brotherly bond is something truly special.

Bryce and his sister, Addie, shared a wonderfully inappropriate sense of humor. Their jokes, often unsuitable for a grandmother’s ears, made family game nights unforgettable. Their laughter and inside jokes will be dearly missed.

His youngest sister, Avery, adored her big brother. They shared a gentle sensitivity and deep love for all animals, a connection that made their relationship especially meaningful. Avery will forever treasure their time fishing, laughing, and simply being together.

Bryce graduated from Compass Academy in 2017 and went on to earn an associate’s in computer science from CEI and both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in cybersecurity from Western Governors University. In a rare and treasured experience, Bryce and his mother graduated together, each earning a master’s degree—a moment of immense pride they were fortunate to share.

Despite Bryce growing up and becoming an adult his dad never stopped referring to him as Brycee Babe, an affectionate name he could never outgrow. Bryce truly was his little boy. His dad and brother knew he always wanted to fly and are happy he finally has his wings.

Bryce had a brilliant mind and held several positions throughout his career, most recently working at Idaho National Laboratory (INL) and Everpure as a cybersecurity analyst. His intelligence, curiosity, and passion for technology were evident in everything he pursued.

Bryce is survived by his wife, Reanna Blakey; his parents, Garin Spaulding and Jenifer Brooks (Karl); his siblings, Brayden Spaulding (Emma), Addison Pinnock (Landon), and Avery Spaulding; and his grandparents, Bruce and Linda Spaulding and Dennis and Laura Brooks. He also leaves behind numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Bryce was also looking forward to becoming an uncle. His nieces and nephews will grow up knowing him through the stories, laughter, and love he leaves behind.

Bryce’s family extends heartfelt gratitude to the relatives, friends, coworkers, and community members who have surrounded them with love and support. The outpouring of kindness during this difficult time has meant more than words can express. They also extend appreciation for all of those that have cared for and helped Bryce during his short life.

He loved deeply, laughed freely, and left behind memories that will bring both smiles and tears for years to come. He will forever be loved and remembered.

A memorial tribute to Bryce will be held at the Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby, Idaho on 11/6/2026 at 1:30pm. Following the tribute he will be laid to rest at the Ririe Cemetery alongside his Uncle Marc, his cousin Ethan and his cousin Jace. All are welcome to attend.
