Burl Cromwell

November 17, 1936 — January 21, 2010

Burl Cromwell age 73, of Idaho Falls, died Thursday, January 21, 2010, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Burl was born November 17, 1936 in Idaho Falls, Idaho a son of George Albert Cromwell and Pearl Leorine Petersen Cromwell. He attended school in Irwin, Idaho, at OE Bell in Idaho Falls, and graduated from Ririe High School. Burl was a lifelong resident of Ririe where he worked for Kraft, Dairyland Dairy in Rigby, Newman Trucking hauling milk from Rigby to Star Valley, Fanning Wholesale, Ririe School District Maintenance, and Wal Mart. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burl married Barbara Newman Cromwell on September 18, 1965, in Ririe. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls L.D.S. Temple. Burl enjoyed hunting, fishing, grandchildren, family and raising “cain”. Burl is survived by his wife Barbara of Idaho Falls, and his children Toni Lepper of Montana, Jess Burl (Misook) Cromwell of South Korea (serving in the U.S. Army), Janice Leorine Cromwell of Colorado Springs, CO, Robert John( Sarah) Cromwell of Montana, sisters, Darlene (T.J.) Fernandiz of Dillon, Montana, Eileen (Ron) Hall of Roberts, Kay Schults, of Thayne, Wyoming, Myra Bare of New Jersey, 4 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Burl is preceded in death by his parents, two sons Ben and Lenny, four brothers and 1 sister. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2010, at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family will visit with friends on Sunday evening from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. and prior to the service on Monday from 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. both at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Milo Cemetery. The family will appreciate memorial contributions be made to Idaho Central Credit Union in Burl’s name.
