Calvin Christiansen

Calvin Christiansen, a longtime resident of Rigby, Idaho, passed away on February 11, 2025, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.

Calvin was born on May 29, 1951 in Rigby, Idaho, to parents James Duane Christiansen and Rosetta Williams Christiansen. Calvin spent his life in the community he loved. He attended school at Rigby and worked as a long and short haul truck driver and mechanic.

Calvin married Vikkie Wheeler.  They were later divorced.  He Then married Janie Burgess.  They later divorced.  Calvin later married Kathy Hathaway. They were later divorced.  Calvin found joy in his hobbies. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and camper, and he loved riding his 2010 Harley Davidson. He also loved hot coffee and visiting thrift stores. Calvin was a devoted Christian and maintained his faith throughout his life. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  Calvin loved with all his heart, worked with all his soul, and lived with all he had.

Calvin is survived by his children Cody (Leslee) Christiansen, Josh (Kacee) Christiansen, Cim Christiansen, 2 brothers, 4 sisters, his favorites Fayanne Groom, Dorothy Christiansen and many loved grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister, 2 nephews, son Brian McKinney, son-in-law William Gross, grandson Chance Struhs, great granddaughter Charlotte Greenough and many good friends.

Graveside services to honor Calvin's life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery. He will be remembered fondly by those who knew him and cherished the time they spent with him.
