Cameron Dean Ricks, age 53, of Rexburg, passed away at Idaho Falls Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, Wednesday June 3rd, 2015 from complications of a stroke. Cameron was born July 24, 1961 in Idaho Falls a son to Vernon Dean Ricks and Phyllis Bernice Jensen Ricks. He attended schools in Ucon and graduated from Bonneville High School. He then attended Ricks College and Earned a Nuclear Security Training Certificate of Applied Science from E.I.T.C. He married Wendy Lynn Phillips, October 27, 1984 in Ucon. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple October 29th 1985. He owned and operated Cameron Ricks Sheet Rocking and enjoyed to tape and texture. He worked for Cal Ranch selling guns and ammo in Rexburg. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served as a faithful home teacher, assistant scout master, in the High Priest Group Leadership, as ward missionary, and taught in the Primary. He enjoyed fishing, camping, shooting with his children, family gatherings, reading, gardening and animals. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife: Wendy Ricks of Rexburg, four daughters: Keera (Ben) Jones of Albion, Idaho; Kelsey (Cole) Barton of Fredonia, Arizona; Alysa Ricks of Rexburg; and Hannah Ricks of Rexburg; two sons: Jordan Ricks of Rexburg; and Alexander Ricks of Rexburg; four sisters: Collette (Don) Parker of Provo, Utah; Kimberly (Neil) Vanderpool of Provo, Utah; Karen (John) Braase of Idaho Falls; and Camille Ricks of Smithfield, Utah; three brothers: Courtney (Jolene) Ricks of Clarkston, Utah; Curtis (Rochelle) Ricks of Idaho Falls; and Kent Casey Ricks of Salt Lake City, Utah; and three grandchildren Elena Jones, Braxton Jones and Brynlee Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be held Saturday June 6th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Burton East LDS Chapel,2332 West 2000 South, Rexburg. The family will visit with friends at the Burton East LDS Chapel,2332 West 2000 South, Rexburg, Friday, June 5th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. Memorial Contributions may be sent to Eckersell Memorial Chapel at 101 West Main Street, Rigby, ID 83442 in memory of Cameron.
