Carma Larson Meisinger, 88, died November 11, 2019 with her family nearby in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Carma was born July 21, 1931 in St. Anthony, Idaho to Al and Ethel Larson.
She grew up and attended school in St. Anthony, Idaho.
When she was seventeen, she married her high school sweetheart, Jim Reynold Secrist. They had three children together. They were married for eighteen years. When their union ended, she met and married her forever sweetheart, Jack Meisinger. Together they had one child and then her sisters two boys came to live with them making a family of six children.
Carma worked numerous jobs, from working at the Idaho National Lab to selling radio advertising. She was a checker at a grocery store and worked at the bowling alley. She eventually started her own business with her daughter Debbie called Party Popcorn.
She had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing and loved going on Sunday drives with Jack. She and her daughter, Debbie, owned their own boat and spent most summer weekends on Henry’s Lake fishing for monster rainbows. When she wasn’t fishing, she and Jack spent weekends at their cabin outside of Tetonia, Idaho. They especially loved the cabin in the fall where Carma enjoyed painting the Grand Tetons from her front porch.
She was quite a character and had her family laughing most of the time. She enjoyed every minute she could have with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The love of her life died in 1999 and she never remarried. She split her time between St. George, Utah and Rigby, Idaho until she was not able to travel. Her last days were spent in her home in Rigby.
While Carma was still clear minded she was able to see all of her children and most of her grandchildren either in person or via facetime. She was showered with love and she (and her family) were greatly blessed by these precious moments they shared together. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children Debbie Reynolds, Kery Secrist (Patsy), Kym Secrist, Michelle Miller, and Randall Allen (Bonnie), Jared Allen (Esther) and 16 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings (two brothers and one sister) and her husband, Jack Meisinger.
