CARMEN Bennett FRANDSEN, age 96, formerly of Lewisville, Idaho, died at her daughters home in Spokane Washington, Thursday, November 17, 2011. Carmen was born September 28, 1915 at Mound Valley, Idaho, the daughter of Thomas Barnabee Bennett and Letha Hurd Orison Bennett.
Carmen grew up and attended schools in Mound Valley, Idaho through the eighth grade. She attended and graduated from Central High School in Thatcher, Idaho.
Carmen was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in the Primary, and in the Relief Society as a visiting teacher, visiting teacher instructor, and as a compassionate service leader. She served in the Young Womens Organization, and as a Cub Scout Leader.
She lived in Iona and Idaho Falls for 15 years, and in Lewisville, Idaho since 1959. She enjoyed gardening, and had a beautiful rose garden with fifty varieties of roses. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, baking and taking care of her home.
Survivors include two daughters Colleen (Larry) LeCheminant of Creston, British Columbia, Canada and
Sherry (Gene) Beerbohm of Spokane, Washington. Two sons Van Frandsen and Dennis Merlyn (Karen) Frandsen both of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and one brother Connell Gary Bennett of Idaho Falls, Idaho. She is survived by 19 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Kevin, two brothers Delaine and Darrell, and one granddaughter Amy.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lewisville 1st Ward LDS Chapel, 474 North 3450 East, Lewisville, Idaho, with Bp. Val Rosenberg officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family would appreciate contributions made to the Lewisville 1st Ward Missionary Fund.
