Carol Jessie Hilton Christensen, age 83, of Grant, died Thursday, June 12, 2003, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.
Carol was born December 9, 1919, at Darlington, Custer County, Idaho, a daughter of William Price Fullmer Jr. and Fannie Verona Whiting Fullmer.
Carol attended schools in Menan, Lost River and Midway High School. She then attended Ricks College graduating in 1941 with an associates degree, and then in 1955 earned her Bachelors Degree and then worked on some graduate work at BYU in Provo, Utah.
She married Clyde Jensen Hilton April 8, 1942, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple, he preceded her in death April 11, 1945 while serving in World War II. On March 12, 1966, she married George Cornelius Christensen in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on January 28, 1977.
She taught elementary school at Moore, Idaho and then in the Jefferson County School
District for 32 years. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints she served a mission to the New Zealand Temple, as stake and ward Young Women’s President, as a temple officiator for 15 years and typed Patriarchal blessings for 2 patriarchs.
Her passion in teaching was to make children feel important and give them a love for reading.

Andrea Hilton of North Salt Lake, Utah
14 step grandchildren, 62 Step Great Grandchildren and 11 Step Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Clyde Hilton, both husbands and 15 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. in the Grant 1st Ward LDS Chapel (3431 E. 100 N., Rigby) with Bishop Dennis Merrill officiating. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Grant 1st Ward LDS Chapel and on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Grant LDS Church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
