Carol Ann Murri

Carol Ann Mickelsen Murri, age 71, of St. Anthony passed away at her home Monday, August 7, 2017. Carol was born December 4, 1945 in St. Anthony, Idaho a daughter to Virgil Hobbs Mickelsen and Lillis Emma Burbank Mickelsen. She attended schools in St. Anthony graduating from South Fremont High School. She then attended Ricks College and then the Practical Nurse Training program at the Idaho Falls LDS Hospital. She married Roger Murri in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple August 27, 1966. She is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served in the Primary, Young Women and Relief Society presidencies along with other callings in the church. She has worked in the LDS Hospital in Idaho Falls, the St. Anthony Hospital, and the Ashton hospital. She also worked in home health for several years. Her favorite pastime (Job) was being a wife and mother and helping her husband on the farm. Her whole life was filled with service and making others feel loved and important.  She has battled with cancer for 2 years and has taught us about courage and never giving up with her quiet determination. Survivors include: her husband Roger Murri of St, Anthony, three daughters, Tamara (Kevin) Nelson of St. Anthony, Lisa (Brian) Reed of Ririe, and Natalie (Larry) Bradley of St. Anthony, two sons: Brian (Julie) Murri of St. Anthony and Kevin (Denise) Murri of Lehi, Utah, two sisters: Verla Bird of Idaho Falls and Linda Bidwell of St. Anthony, and 22 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Wayne Mickelsen and a grandson Bryson Bradley. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Anthony LDS Stake Center, 247 East 400 North, St. Anthony, Idaho. The family will visit with friends at the St. Anthony LDS Stake Center, Thursday, August 10th from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.  Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.  Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com
