Carol Poole 54, of Menan, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2006, in Lewisville from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born September 30, 1951 in Rigby, the daughter of Wayne and Ileen Freeman. She graduated from Rigby High School and attended business school in Salt Lake City, Utah. Carol married her high school sweetheart, Brent Poole on September 3, 1970. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived in Rigby for 11 months before moving to their current home in Menan. Carol worked at Parkview Hospital, Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center and most recently at Idaho Falls Idaho Dermatology, for Dr. Paul Brookes. Carol was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved young people, working in the Primary, Young Women and Scouting organizations. Carol enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, photography, preserving family memories with scrap booking, camping and had a great appreciation for nature and animals. She was a loving wife, a caring daughter, a sister who was your best friend, a devoted mother and the world’s best grandmother. Mom had a warm smile, infectious laugh and enjoyed giving service and love to those around her. Survivors include her husband Brent Lee Poole of Menan; her children, Ferrin Lee Poole of Idaho Falls, Alvin John (Cassandra) Poole of Rigby, Amanda Kay Poole of Menan, Wayne Shaw Poole of Menan; her parents, Wayne and Ileen (Rhodes) Freeman of Rigby; a brother, Fred (Gwen) Freeman of Caldwell; sisters, Barbara (Phill) Hayman and Donna Freeman both of Idaho Falls and Rosalie (Gary) Taylor of Modesto, California. She was preceded in death by her son Leslie Scott Poole. She and her brother Darwin Freeman died simultaneously in the same automobile accident. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Menan LDS Stake Center. The family will meet with friends Sunday from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Menan Stake Center and Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. also at the Stake Center. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
