Carol Ann Tanner, 78 of Rigby, Idaho passed away September 29, 2021 at Idaho Falls Community Hospital. Carol was born April 18, 1943 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Harold Lee Poore and Evelyn Elaine Bush Poore. She was raised and attended schools in Ririe, Idaho; graduating from Ririe High School. She was a very talented singer in high school and church. She continued her education in Boise at a Business College, earning an associate’s degree in business. She met and fell in love with Robert John Tanner in Mountain Home, Idaho. On May 11, 1963 they married at a ceremony in Ririe. They made their home in Rigby and were blessed with 1 daughter and 2 sons. In addition to being a wife and mother, Carol worked as a florist and owned and operated Carol’s Draperies in Rexburg, Idaho. Carol was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was a member of the Eagle Rock Art Guild in Idaho Falls. Carol was a talented artist, florist, and seamstress. She enjoyed crafts, traveling, fishing, and spending time with her family and friends. She and Robert loved spending the winters in Arizona. She is survived by her husband Robert J. Tanner of Rigby, Idaho; sons Robert Duane (Carol) Tanner of Elk City, Oklahoma, Richard L. (MaryLynn) Tanner of Mesa, Arizona; daughter, Helen Elaine (Don) Guymon of Idaho Falls, Idaho; brother, Richard Harold (Jean) Poore of Ogden, Utah; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Evelyn Poore; and her sisters Ruth Summers and Linda Berry. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Sutton Cemetery in Archer, Idaho.
